Mornington HouseMornington House was the first nursery opened by Bristol Childcare, thirty-eight years ago, and is run by a well-established team. It’s a small and cosy environment with places for nine under-twos and nineteen over-twos. The nursery opens at 8am and closes at 6pm with days planned around a routine. This combines the advantage of structure with the flexibility and excitement of surprises.
Children learn through play. At Mornington House activities are structured to comply with OFSTED’s Early Years Foundation Stage. Pre-school children over 3 years are led by a qualified teacher each morning. There are French Lessons on Monday morning; dance and music and movement sessions led by Stretch ‘n Gro on Wednesday afternoons. The nursery also has a safe, secluded garden which the children enjoy using as often as the weather allows. Meals are freshly prepared by a cook who enjoys creating varied and healthy menus.
With us you don’t have to do fixed sessions. Subject to availability your child can attend nursery at times to suit you. Fees are calculated on a sliding scale so the more hours you do the less we charge per hour.
