NoticeboardA leaver's party recently took place on 14th July for all of our children at Mornington House leaving to start primary school in September. We would like to wish the children all the best in their new life adventure.
Sadly, our cook Teresa is leaving us after 14 years service with Bristol Childcare. Teresa is moving to Yorkshire to be nearer to her son and daugher-in-law who are expecting their first child and Teresa's first grandchild. We are sorry to see Teresa leave, but we are very happy for her and would like to wish her well and thank her for all her hard work over the past 14 years. We would also like to take this opportunity to invite all parents/carers and children to our summer party on 28th July at 2pm to pass on their own good wishes and say goodbye.
The police will be visiting the Priory Day Nursery on Thursday 22nd July to give a short talk to the children and allow them to sit in and have a look around a police car. Another event taking place on 22nd July will be our leave's disco celebration for the children who will be moving on to "big school".
The Court House Day Nursery celebrated with a seaside themed party on 14th July for the children leaving nursery to start school in September. A wonderful time was had by children and staff alike!

Mornington House are looking forward to holding a summer picnic in their new garden. Letters will be sent out shortly with further details of this and the parents evening.
We are delighted to announce that following the redevelopment of Mornington House, the back garden has been designed and built by award-winning nursery garden specialist Jane’s Pond Landscaping. The design incorporates all the key areas of learning and is truly an outdoor classroom where children can play and learn in an exciting environment.
There is a boat, a story telling area with a beautiful wooden chair and mushrooms, a tepee structure under the tree, stepping stones and hillocks. Although the garden has apparatus, their use is not prescriptive, leaving the children plenty of opportunity to play using their imaginations. Despite being a nursery garden it is a very relaxing and spiritual place, full of natural materials, with bamboo and grasses rustling in the wind. It really is a sanctuary in the middle of the city. Please feel welcome to visit and see for yourself. Click here for more
