One of our Mums gave us a big Chinese knot decoration and some little ones too. The children filled a bucket with earth from the garden and Gemma cut down some of the bamboo. We then hung the small knot decorations all over the bamboo branches. Chinese knots are a traditional art of China and are used for interior decoration or given as gifts to family and friends. They are made using one single rope creating several knots grouped into various patterns. Varieties of knot shapes each have different meanings, mostly peace and prosperity.
