Mornington House was the first nursery opened by Bristol Childcare in 1971 and is run by a well-established team. It’s a small and cosy environment with a babyroom, twos room and pre-school. The nursery opens at 7:30am and closes at 6pm with days planned around a routine of lunch, snack, singing and story times. This combines the security of structure with the flexibility and excitement of surprises and spontaneity.
Children at Mornington House enjoy a wide range of fun and creative resources that enable them to follow their interests.
Three to five year olds are led by experienced nursery practitioners in a bright and vibrant pre-school with free-flow to the outdoors. There is a varied programme of enrichment activities across the year. All of these activities are included in the hourly rate. Our Baby Room has different spaces and a free-flow terrace garden to ensure all age babies benefit from appropriate play and opportunities for movement. The babies also enjoy trips to the local area including the Downs. We have a mature, secluded back garden which the children enjoy using in all weathers.
Meals are freshly prepared on site every day by our cook and the staff and children sit and eat together to create a family mealtime.
Inspired by our families, we celebrate a wide range of festivals and seasonal events and we are always delighted when families come in and help us learn about their countries and cultures.
At Mornington House we work hard to make nursery enjoyable for each individual child. Why not come and visit to see what we have to offer you and your child? Nursery Manager Diane James is looking forward to hearing from you.
