At The Priory we know about good childcare because we’re a well-established nursery which has been running for over 30 years. It’s a small, cosy and homely environment with a babyroom, toddler room, two’s room and pre-school. We open at 7.30am and close at 6pm with days planned around a routine of lunch, snack, singing and story times. This combines the security of structure with the flexibility and excitement of surprises and spontaneity.
Children at The Priory enjoy a wide range of fun and creative resources that enable them to follow their interests.
Three to five year olds are led by a qualified Early Year’s teacher in a bright and vibrant pre-school. There is a varied programme of enrichment activities including French lessons and football. All of these activities are included in the hourly rate. Our Babyroom is split between babies and toddlers to ensure they benefit from appropriate play and opportunities for movement and our “small group room” is used to help nurture the older two year olds as they prepare to transition into the pre-school. We have a mature and attractive, safe, secluded garden which the children enjoy using in all weathers.
Meals are freshly prepared on site every day by our cook and staff and children eat together to create a family meal time.
Inspired by our families, we celebrate a wide range of festivals and seasonal events and have fantastic relationships with our families. During the summer we hold an open evening and BBQ which has become a great way to get to know each other better.
At The Priory we work hard to make nursery enjoyable for each individual child. Why not come and visit to see what The Priory has to offer you and your child? Nursery Manager Justine Richardson is looking forward to hearing from you.
