Doctor Pert

Rufus’ dad, Dr Ben Pert came to talk to us about his job as a GP.  He brought in a stethoscope, thermometer and an oroscope for the children in pre-school to try.

They were able to see inside their friend’s ears and listen to their heartbeats. He also brought in little vials of medicine and some syringes to show the children. Most importantly, he talked to us about how doctors and nurses help care for us.

Max said “X-rays check if your bones are broken”.

Isharda said about the stethoscope “That’s for the heart.”

Rufus said “The thermometer tells you how hot  you are.”

Thomas tried out the oroscope “I saw inside Rufus’ ear!”
