Our Preschool children are focusing on and exploring autumn. Katie – one of our teachers – went out at the weekend to collect leaves and conkers for the children to have to explore. Following on from their interests in hunting and foraging for things using the magnifying glasses, the preschool children went hunting to find some of the leaves which were hidden in the garden.
This afternoon they have used the leaves they found in the garden to create an owl – one of the animals they have been talking about throughout the topic. A lot of conversation from the children based around the topic has been had.
Maybe when you are out and about with your little one, you could find some leaves, conkers and any autumn objects for them to share with their friends here at nursery.
