Wow! What an exciting morning we have had at The Priory! Evelyn’s famous family chicken, Hay Hay, came in to visit all the children. We learnt lots of amazing facts about what chickens like to eat, what they do when they might be scared, how to pick them up correctly, where they live and what they lay. The children also had the opportunity to stroke and pick up Hay Hay, and to give her a cuddle if they wanted to.
We want to say a big thank you to Evelyn and her Mummy for bringing Hay Hay in for this wonderful learning experience and bringing the children closer to nature.
We finished off by singing Spring Chicken all together!
