Health & Wellbeing

It is important to focus on our mental health and wellbeing all the time, as we progress through the ‘road map’ as lockdown eases it is likely that some of us will be finding it more important than ever to put self-care and wellbeing strategies in place. Below are some links you may find useful.

  • Be the Change – £20 to try out washable period products. As part of BCC’s ethos, we are supporting the use of washable period products. We offer a grant for this, please find more information here.
  • Get your Mind Plan: Answer 5 quick questions to get your free plan with tips to help you deal with stress and anxiety, improve your sleep, boost your mood and feel more in control.
  • Bristol Mind do a Mental Health and Wellbeing Newsletter every month.
  • Stress containers are a very useful tool that we use in the nurseries, the stress container can help us understand how we experience stress and what we can do to alleviate it. Try the interactive stress container to see how it works.
  • The mental health charity Mind have a page on tips to help you cope, including ways to support yourself through the pandemic and beyond.
  • If you are looking for help and advice all in one place Aspiration Training  launched their wellbeing hub last summer.  Here you can find information and links to many different topics around wellbeing – including self esteem and confidence, workplace – including work-life balance, learning new skills and finance advice.
