We had a lovely time learning about and celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!
The baby room made crowns using cardboard, glue and foil and the 2s room helped Louise make a special red, white and blue Victoria sponge. Louise used face paints to draw the union flag on the children and we all tried to wear something red, white and blue. The preschool children made a coronation carriage, using a big cardboard box. They watched the trooping of the colour and created a collage of pictures of the Queen. They decorated party hats using sticky coloured gemstones. We all joined together and had a wonderful tea in the garden, enjoying Louise’s sandwiches and cakes. Sally played the national anthem on the keyboard, and we all sang along.
