Mornington House -Tree carving

benchLast Autumn we made the difficult decision to chop down a fir tree that has grown in the nursery garden from a tiny sapling. It’s always sad to cut down a tree but it had become too big and was blocking light. However, to make something positive from this we asked artist Andy O’Neill to come and create something exciting from the stump and trunk. We now have Turbo the turtle and an amazing bench with ladybird handles. Please come and visit and feel how wonderful they are. Andy also created a large puzzle and other seats which are being shared with other Bristol Childcare nurseries.
