Improving our garden with natural up-cycled resources

woodchip_websiteOn Friday 26 February 2016 we were very fortunate to be offered some wood chippings. Whilst it was sad that the trees opposite the nursery had been chopped down, it was the Priory’s gain. The staff and children had a fantastic time transporting all the chippings from the carpark to the garden. Our mud kitchen, camp fire and willow tunnel now have a lovely bouncy natural surface for the children to widen their play. Working together as a team was excellent for the children’s language development and it was wonderful to witness their expression and excitement in moving the chippings around the garden.
