Sound Therapy at The Court House

We were lucky to have Juliana come into nursery and play and care for the children at The Court House. She brought in her singing bowls and did a session with each room. She talked about self-love and care, as this has been something all the children have been thinking about this month, talking about the colour monster from our core book too. The children loved experiencing this session with Juliana.

“I am Juliana and I did a yoga course and sound therapy in Nepal. Since then I have been exploring more about this. Working with children has made me think about how they understand their emotions and how they often do not know how to make themselves feel calm and present. Sound therapy is used in meditation, it makes you bring yourself into the present moment. Being able to feel the vibrations made by the singing bowls, helps a person feel present, calm as well as more in touch with the moment and their feelings of calm.”
