St Nicolas came all the way from Belgium to see our pre-school children. We learned his song, “Venez, venez, St Nicolas”, which we sang to him as he came walking down the street, ringing his bell. He took the time to talk to each child and read about them in the St Nicolas book which we had been preparing. He had treats for all the children, including a little staff, just like the one he held! St Nicolas and his helpers sang with us before leaving to check on his donkey.
