The Big Tie Event

The Big Tie EventBristol Childcare is supporting a record breaking event. Teacher Mr T is attempting to break the world record for the number of ties worn at one time. Bristol Childcare has bought a tie which will be used as part of the attempt. The event is happening to raise funds for the school.

What we are particularly impressed with is how the children are involved in organising the event – writing letters, calculating numbers of ties needed, discussing how best to fundraise. There are lots of skills that are best learnt away from a traditional classroom format.

Find out more at this link, where you can also get in touch to sponsor a tie – http://www.olvestonschool.co.uk/#!the-big-tie-event/c24x0 or follow the fun on twitter @TiesTucker
