This year we have celebrated World Book Day throughout the week. We have encouraged children to bring in their own books from home to help develop a love of stories!
In baby room they have been sharing stories from home at lunch time.
In the twos room they have been creating salt dough dinosaur feet for their favourite song book, Dinosaur Rap. They have baked star shaped cookies for the wand in The Room on the Broom and had a Gruffalo crumble to explore.
In Preschool the children have learnt how to sign the book Dear Zoo in Makaton, which they performed to the twos and baby room. They have been creating their own Elmer the Elephant, developing their maths skills with Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and sharing their own favourite stories from home with their peers.
