At Mornington House, we’ve been talking a lot about the Balloon Fiesta as lots of us went to it and some of us saw the balloons in the sky from our houses. So, with a maths focus, in Preschool we made some balloon puzzles. Our intent was to order numbers from 1-4, understand positional language e.g where the basket goes, how the balloon joins to the basket, recreate the pattern of the basket (understanding the concept long and short) and draw people to go in the balloon. Such a lot of fantastic learning came from this activity!
