Mornington House really enjoyed their Forest School experience with Elise from Woodland Makery. Elise sang us a song about being kind to bugs and insects. We looked at stinging nettles and tried some that were safe to eat. We then took turns to cut up vegetables, cut a log with a saw to make a butterfly, look for insects and bash the stinging nettles to make dye, all with some help from grown ups! The cut up vegetables made a yummy soup that we got to try. We really enjoyed looking at all the books Elise brought to show us. Thank you Elise, we had a wonderful day!
