At The Court House, the babies have been celebrating International Dinosaur Day! They have enjoyed lots of different activities, sparking conversations about these large lizards! We did all of this alongside having the sensory light and forest sounds on in order to really get into this Jurassic themed day. We had building blocks out in greens and yellows to talk about how the dinosaurs would have explored the green forest areas to get their foods. We also had the exploration tuff tray so the children could play with the dinosaurs and we could talk to them about the range of dinosaurs that existed and make our own roaring sounds like the dinosaurs, and of course we had to put their mark making skills to work getting them to dab and design their own dinosaurs. Once we explored this for the morning we sat for group time and sang along to the dinosaur rap encouraging the children to join in the the moves!
