At The Priory, the preschool discussed how to care for our environment and emphasised importance of recycling items we no longer need, such as cardboard boxes, used papers, and other unwanted materials. After providing this explanation, I encouraged the children to carefully cut out the shape of a box from a piece of cardboard, then fold it along its creases so it would fit properly into the wheeled recycling bin.
Next, I talked about the safety precautions around the bin area, reminding the children to stay close when going outside to dispose of the cardboard in the bin, ensuring everyone’s safety.
Finally, we lined up the radiator to keep warm, then exited through the fire door, walking along the wall to reach the designated recycling area for proper disposal.
