Recently the whole nursery at The Court House celebrated Roald Dahl Day. We created lots of different Roald Dahl inspired activities for the children to explore.
The baby room created a ‘Twits’ activity where they got to pick the bugs out of Mr Twit’s beard. They also made some chocolate banana bread inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The twos rooms created a giant peach for James and the Giant Peach, made some potions using food colouring and lavender for George’s Marvellous Medicine and had some chocolate gloop and moulds for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The preschool children have enjoyed listening to Fantastic Mr Fox and The Witches.
