Recently at Mornington House, we took part in ‘The Big Bird Watch’. We took ten minutes slots watching for birds for one hour. We saw lots in the sky but only one wood pigeon landed during that time. The activity was great because the children learnt to be quiet, the names of the birds, how to classify birds and talked about their experiences of birds in their gardens and out and about.
