Woodland Makery at Mornington House

The whole nursery at Mornington House love being visited by Elise from Woodland Makery. The focus this visit was summer. Elise started by singing the Forest School song which is about using tools safely and taking turns. We made wooden bead necklaces by peeling bark, pushing holes in the wood and threading wool through the holes. We also coloured the beads with special paint pens. We drilled holes in the wooden circles and threaded wool through them. We made elderflower lemonade at the beginning of the session and tried it at the end. It was full of flavour! Some of us tried it diluted with water. At the end we listened to poems about mini beasts. We look forward to your next visit Elise – see you in the autumn!
