Woodland Makery visit

Last week at The Court House, we had a visit from Elise from Woodland Makery who provided us with a forest school experience!

We began with sitting and listening to Elise who taught us about how to be safe around a fire and even sung us a song about it with her ukulele. We really enjoyed toasting marshmallows by putting them over the fire on a stick. We then enjoyed eating lovely homemade s’mores and exploring the stickiness of the marshmallow inside.

We talked about birds and looked at some bird books to help us learn about birds we might see when we are outside. We made bird feeders using oranges and seeds and we also painted some birds onto log pieces.

What a lovely morning we had – thank you to Elise for the wonderful woodland experience!
