Recently the preschool children at The Court House were learning about World Book Day in a slightly different way! Of course, as well as sharing their favourite stories from home they also had a go at making their own books/stories.
To start with, the children made an alphabet and number book for the children within the baby room. They got to pick a letter/number and on a lined piece of paper they had to write a sentence and come up with an idea of something the letter begins with. They then got to take their books into the baby room for them to look at throughout the day.
Some of the preschoolers also helped to make up a story. They were told they needed to think of two different characters and a setting for their story. They were also told that the story needed to have a beginning, middle, and end. The group of children sat down and created their own story which you can see in the photo.
