Junk Modelling Fun!

Over the Christmas break, Sue, one of our founders, collected some items for junk modelling at The Priory. Sue took the items in and the children loved searching through the boxes to see what they could make. It’s amazing to see the children get so creative with items destined for the recycling!

Julian Trust Night Shelter

Pen Pals at The Court House

Merry Christmas Pen Pals! The Court House has been making Christmas cards for their pen pals at Stokeleigh Lodge. Some of the children chose specific residents while others chose to write to the retirement home. Snow Day!

Active Kids

Linda and Derrick the Dinosaur came to see us for our Active Kids session recently at Mornington House! We had fun pretending to be different types of dinosaurs, dancing and doing our stretches. Then we practised using pegs to pick up the dinosaurs and finished off with the parachute!

Storytime in Hungarian and German!

At Mornington House, one of the children in Preschool’s Mum is German and Dad is Hungarian. This means that he can speak three languages! His Dad came to read ‘Zog’ in Hungarian and Mum read a ‘Peppa Pig’ story in German. The children sat so quietly and listened really well to the stories in languages …

Children in Need

At Mornington House, we wore pyjamas and made cakes and biscuits to raise money for Children in Need. We also did painting activities and made Pudsey ears.

Police visit

The Priory were very lucky to have a visit from a police officer recently. The children were fascinated by the flashing blue lights and the different types of helmets. All the children tried on the large fluorescent jackets and explored the police car with lots of buttons and the horn.
