At The Priory, we have recently started taking small groups to the library, we had conversations about road safety on the way and the children were very sensible when crossing the road. We have enjoyed exploring the wide range of books and sitting down to read new and exciting stories. We also enjoy trying out the other activities the library has to offer, including colouring in and working together to build a puzzle. When it is time to leave, we choose our favourite books and use our library card to borrow them. I demonstrated how to use the machine and then the children took turns scanning the books. When we came back, we discussed how to take care of the library books, and all the children were over the moon to have some new stories on our shelf. We are going continue rotating the groups weekly and swap out the books each week!
