Road Safety

At Mornington House we have been learning about road safety. We role played lots of different scenarios like debris in the road, stopping for the lollipop lady/man, crossing the road safely. We learned that you need to stop at the zebra crossing to check that cars are going to stop. We also learned about the different lights at the pedestrian crossing. We learnt that you shouldn’t play ball games on the road or run across the road. We learnt about which emergency services we needed in an emergency and what to tell them on the phone. Some of the children role played being doctors and looked after Sally the patient. The children helped to explain to Sally the doctor what Bea had done when she had an accident on her bike. A thoroughly fun and worthwhile play session which we will continue over the coming weeks.
