Objectives

To create an environment in which childcare professionals are rewarded for hard work and outstanding contribution to the organisation.
To retain high quality staff and reward real personal and professional progress.
To help staff understand their career development needs and the success in achieving these.
Method of Calculation
The total pay review comprises three parts:
- Cost of living review
- Financial performance of the company/nursery review
- Performance and career development review
The cost of living review is at the discretion of the management of Bristol Childcare Ltd and will be determined on the basis of current inflation (published CPI, 1st March each year) as well as previous, current and future financial performance of the company. Where financially viable, the company will endeavour to maintain real salary levels (i.e. in-line with inflation)
The financial performance review is based on the on-going financial position of the company and individual nursery.
The performance and career development review is based on annual appraisals and a management judgement as to the value you bring to the business. The following criteria will be used to assess this:
- Teamworking
- Flexibility
- Additional skills learned and training undertaken
- Attitude and enthusiasm
- Initiative shown
- Timekeeping
- Reliability
- Ideas brought to the role
- Commitment
- A willingness to engage in CPD
